Why have drug ads ?

Just was wondering why when I got on the site tonight there was an ad for legal hydrocodone and another about getting it I get that the name of the game is to make money but jeesh kinda like advertising beer on an AA site.

Hi jay,
I saw the same ads that you did. This morning the first thing that I saw was,
" Get Hydrocodone leagally" Maybe ithas something to do with having a free forum or something.
I know that it seems that now a days in order to ahve something add free you ahve to pay an arm and a leg.
This is a question that Deborah herself will have to answer. And she probably will once she see's your post.

Jay,

The ads as the others there are advertised by other people just like the pop ups you get on your computer. There are several there...Ads by Google...not anything to do with the forum. While you was up at 1:30 in the morning, did you post to anyone? I've sent you several in the last week and no answer. I'm asking you this because I am concerned and care. Your fast taper has me wondering too. You should be into N.A. and not A.A. unless you have an alcohol problem. Keep it to yourself about the Suboxone and learn the living issues they talk about, being honest and changing the way you look at life. I hope I haven't made you mad, but if I have, I hope you will use it to post back to me. Your life is on the line here and you are young enough to plan for your future. The economy is not going to get better and if your not ready and saved up for what's to come, you are going to be in a bad spot.

Please take what I have said personably and know it's because I want you to make it.

No im not mad I stay up that late every night. I am an alcoholic also but the reason I dont do Na is we dont have any close to me anymore. There is one bout 50 miles but that is to far for me. I hope this economy is going to turn for the good but on some good news I sold my speck house I been sitting on for Two years. I thought I returned all my post but maybe not I been sick so I could have meessed up Im not very good on the computer.

I'm just looking out for you because I care about all the people here on the forum. I hope I wasn't too bold in my post. I remember the people who was tough on me was the ones who helped me the most. I didn't think so at the time, but now when I look back I know it was because they cared. I do care about you and want you to make it.

Dear Jay:

The ads are placed on by the owners of the Forum. They advertise the forums are free. I found out they aren't free because I had to purchase more space and pay for it not long after we started. You can have the ads removed but only if you pay to have them removed.

We will eventually have them removed because we don't like them either. Unless you pay to have them removed they help pay for the cost of the forum. I found out they aren't free and they will nickel and dime you to death. I had to pay extra for the theme and if I want to add things I have to pay for the time used and the more members we have and the more pictures and posts then I have to pay for the storage space.

I found out there isn't much free in this world. They get you one way or the other. I thought I would let you know.

At the bottom of the page you can click on contributions and buy credits for the forum. We don't receive any money but they give us credits to use on the forum to have the ads removed, add more storage space and to add other amenities.

Take a look at it and if you have any extra money think about contributing. If you are tight on your money then please keep it and spend on your treatment and we will eventually get the ads off.
