Soul's Unfolding

I get out of my own way, so that I can experience deeper layers of self. I can tolerate stillness. All that I need do in order to have a soul experience is to be still and await seeing the table prepared before me. I have a choice. I can turn my back on spirit or I can turn my eyes toward it. Soul is always present, always alive and in the moment, patiently waiting to be seen and known. Actually, it is not even patient: it simply is. I am the one for whom patience is an issue, who is constantly preoccupied and not paying attention. Today I will remember to be still. Each time that I am still is money in the bank of soul. I can draw on it throughout my day when I need it.

I will be still with my soul and feel it unfold.

You do not leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait. Do not even wait. Be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, and it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
~Franz Kafka
