I have seen that you have been checking in and reading quite often
lately. I want to reach out to you and say this... no matter where you
are in your part of this disease we know as addiction, you are welcome
here! No matter if you are trying to figure out how to get off pills,
have gotten off pills and are with a Sub Doc, or if you are seeing if
you have a reason to try and taper. It doesn't matter here... we want
you to know that what you may have found here that keeps you coming back
is what is important to us. If you have something you hesitant to ask
about, please ask. If you need information about something you think
someone here can help you with, please ask. If you need help finding a
Sub Doc, please ask. If you are worried about your insurance or what
your family is going to think, please ask. I promise, someone that comes
here daily, few as our numbers may be, someone can help you and will be
honored to do so. We don't judge, we don't condemn, we don't want to do
anything more or less than what you may need help with.
I know this for an absolute fact! I have yet to be brave enough to drop
the pills and take the leap to Suboxone . Even though I know it is what I
will do when I have the balls to do so! (Sorry Dee, I know you'd rather
I keep it classy). But, even so Dee, Marie, Beth and a few others that
had watched my progression here and felt compelled to speak, if only
once. someone I now consider a friend helped me here. And, each and
every one of them has offered me something that no other could. Each
woman, not to exclude the guys, but each woman has something to offer, a
variety of experiences, and with a variety of what they each offer.
(including me).
So, I don't mean to call you out of anonymity before you are ready.
But... I hope I have offered some reassurance so that we can welcome you
into the fold. It's a great group of woman devoted to coming here
daily. You will benefit if you choose to engage them.
I know this to be MY TRUTH. *winks* thanks ladies, I'll
respond tomorrow. I thought this a more important post to spend my time
